Today is 2 weeks down. 2 weeks to go. Everyday during the week we’re at the hospital for 3 hours. PT, OT and he sees a pain psychologist. Then he has PT at home exercises and OT at home exercises to do. And he does them. Also he’s mindful of screen time and we are damn close the suggested bed time which is huge considering all the late nights we are used to because of pain. We also get in some physical activity and leisure activity as suggested along with Breakfast, lunch and dinner times followed as closely as possible. They mapped out his daily schedule the first day and we thought it would be hard and yes it’s been an adjustment but we’re all looking at the end goal here and with his continued determination and commitment to this program he’s adjusted quite well I’d say!! Easy, no, it’s not easy. And this is absolutely NOT a vacation. The fun will come at the end. And well deserved by our amazing son. Now to answer the question, is the pain better? No. But he’s got 2 more weeks. And he’s getting stronger. His buttock pain has actually increased and we see the doc this morning as we do every Friday and we will discuss this increased pain and his x-rays that he had Wednesday. He’ll need to see an orthopedic doc when we get home as suggested and we will. It’s all part of this never ending journey. Bold As Love.
