Welcome to Our Blog
Today we met with Adler’s 6th grade teacher. He got his locker and he dropped all his stuff off. He was so excited!! Wednesday is the day!!!! Normal time. All day. He’s ready!!!!!! This will be his year!!!! He’s worked so hard for this. And he will continue to do so as to keep the momentum going!!! Trinity is and has been so amazing and he can’t wait to be back there!!! 💙💙💙💙💙

He had pain last night. He needed meds and the heating pad last night. He’s been doing his exercises and we’re getting ready for school this week!! He’s so excited!!! We had some fun with family last night too! See. It’s not gone. He’s not “cured” of his chronic pain. He’s just not letting it rule his life. The program gave him knowledge and strength. Both necessary in his fight. His specific fight. His fight against cancer and living with chronic pain because of cancer. His MRI is August 24th. Results on the 25th. Just when we will be settling into life again we’ll be heading to Chicago. September is coming up which is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. This will be one 8th year knowing about that. I didn’t know before but I sure do now.

And. That’s a wrap. We are on the road now. 20 visits to Nemours Children’s Hospital. He finished the program and we did a lil Disney trip. 30+ days in Florida. We’ll be home tomorrow. Life goes on. It stopped for the time down here to focus on Adler and his pain. It was hard. Very hard. But necessary and a successful venture. His pain is better, not gone but better. We’ll be back in 6 months for a check up. Now to get this boy back to school!!!!!!!
