Welcome to Our Blog

Patiently waiting for his zoom invite. I gently woke him for school just after 8am. His check in is 9am for math then language arts. After lunch he did science today. He put on his glasses and fooled around a bit but was up and ready before 8:30am. He had taken his chemo, put on his school shirt and brushed his hair and got his computer up and running with no fussing. None. He takes it all pretty seriously. Why. Because he appreciates it. He knows what he’s missing and he misses it. He would love nothing more than to be at school. Attending in person with his friends “normally”. But this has been HIS normal for awhile. Not just due to covid-19. I will never complain about it, I can’t, because he doesn’t. Even if the zoom is late again or there’s something glitchy or he’s got homework that I might have to help with. That’s my job. I am his mother which I take seriously…… too seriously sometimes. Hahaha!!! Now do we get bummed about it, yes, we do. But that’s different! Just a glimpse at a kid who loves school even from his room.
