So I know which is which. There’s a 2 on the other one. He said tonight he was sick of it. And he’s not looking forward to his appointments on Wednesday in Chicago. That he’s not looking forward to going back on treatment. He hopes it isn’t too long of a break that when he does go back on that it doesn’t suck and he hopes in a year this will all be over for awhile. We both didn’t smile at that thought because with inoperable tumors……we know this may not be the end. I hugged him. He walked away and I didn’t have the words to comfort him. I let him be as that’s what I felt he needed. It’s been a very hard few weeks here. First preparing for surgery, then my mother’s stroke, the surgery, Covid positive for us and then my brother and he’s still in the hospital but thankfully doing better. My mother is better but not back to herself yet. And I have been taking care of my brothers house and dog because I am the only one that can. So much stress. Too much. And then the cancer life comes back around tonight with it’s ugliness and it’s depth and thievery. It never leaves. Ever present. I am beyond grateful for his life and the successful surgery to aide in the quality of that life but I mean for fuck’s sake.
