We have called for transport. We will be leaving soon!!!! Home to Elkhart!!!!! The surgery was a huge success and he’s recovering well. So far his symptoms of Covid are minimal to none. Now for Mom and Dad to fully recover from Covid at home and not get any worse. What a time to be alive!!!! 💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙

The drain comes out today and we get to go home!!!!!! The neck brace will be on for three months if not longer depending on how well the fusion does. Either way we are ready to be out of this room. Adler has a headache today and my symptoms are like very annoying nasty allergies and we just want to be “sick” at home. Hopefully that will aide in our recovery being home that is. This has been a very unique experience for sure.

Hospital nights. Watched some Blue Blood’s and now some National Geographic channel. I took a shower tonight and changed clothes. Covid symptoms are still minimal thankfully. I feel like they were worse before I knew I was positive same with Adler and Aaron. We all thought we had colds coming on. Now I’d compare them to allergies but you know it’s not because of the fatigue and just how your body feels, if that makes sense???? Aaron still has no taste or smell and is off and on congested and he gets a headache off and on. Adler seems to be doing just fine. He did have congestion and a low grade fever before surgery so it will always boggle my mind that he tested negative first and then positive after we did. So. Here we are. Hopefully we will go to bed soon. Adler wants to sleep in the chair. He hates the hospital beds and it’s more comfortable than the bed to him.
