Welp. It got real today. The surgery date for Adlers cervical spinal fusion is Oct. 29th. One week prior hold his chemo and for 6 weeks after. He will need a Covid test 4-5 days before also. Aaron can be with me during the surgery while we wait but as soon as he’s moved up to a room he will have to leave. Only one parent allowed in the hospital room. I am not liking that but it is what it is. In 6 years, almost 7, we have never been apart during a hospital stay. They will call to finalize everything next week. I have a few more questions too. Adler is super anxious about it as are we. The root of all of this is cancer. And he hates it. We hate it. He’s pretty bummed out about it ALL and I can’t say we are feeling much better about it either. But we know it is necessary. It’s becoming dangerous. Too much longer and the compression of his spinal cord could be life threatening and/or paralyze him. Dramatic and no way to actually predict that but none the less it is at a have to point. And hopefully it will alleviate his chronic neck pain. So. That’s the update. Whatever It Takes!!! Bold As Love and Fuck Cancer!!!!!
