After the 4th chemo, which this was, his hair began to fall out. You can see his scar from his shunt so well here because he started chemo only about two months after his surgery. I cried in the shower with him as it was between my fingers when I washed his hair. It made it real. Very real. I dried him and it was all over him. I called for Aaron to get a new towel as I shook finishing. Soon enough we would take him to get his head shaved. And then his eyebrows and eyelashes fell out too. Nothing can prepare you for the “little” things that go along with the “big” things of cancer that stick with you forever. Our 4 yr old warrior.
